Tags

Tags are used to help you quickly identify nodes and graphs that belong to groups. They make it easier to find the graph or node by allowing them to be searched by tags instead of the name. Anywhere you see a filter search box where searching the names of items that can have tags, you can type in the name of an item or the name of a tag to search - both will be searched.

Tags can be different colors as well to help with sorting and visually seeing the nodes and graphs in a group. It is best practice to use color coding when making tags to keep similar kinds of tags the same. In the pictures below you can see the tags for the graphs are all blue/green(01-03) with the graphs that are used for monitoring and error handling (90's) in purple/pink. Tags are not used in the journey mapper, only in graphs and their nodes.

Editing for tags for editor items in the editor can be accessed via the sidebar.  Open the item in the editor, and with no other selection active, the bottom sidebar panel will display the item's current tags, as well as a button 'Update Item Tags' that provides access to a menu that allows associating, unassociating, creation and updating of the tags.

Tags can also be accessed via the new item page, and via the environment editor (for adding tags to environments)

Adding and Removing Tags from Items/Environments

  • When you are editing an item apply the tag by  clicking on the plus on the far left of the Tag listing - the chain will now change to a check mark to show it is tagged
  • To break an already connected tag click on the cross or check mark to remove that tag
